Is this the right package for me?

The one-page website package is perfect for a small business owner on a tight budget who doesn’t have an existing website at all. If you already have a website and want to upgrade, I recommend THE PRO package.

How are you able to make this so affordable, especially with a custom design?

For the past five years, I have mastered a particular software application that allows me to design sites from scratch very efficiently. It’s all about the tools, knowing how to use them, as well as refining business processes to run as smoothly as possible. This did not happen overnight!

Can I request changes to the design of the site?

Once I have created the design and incorporated the optimized text and images, you will have one revision request to make any changes as necessary. Just pop all revision requests into one email, send it to me, and I will turn it around within the same day.

What is the process to add on other functionality or pages to the site in the future?

When you are ready to expand your website, simply email me with your request and I will create a quote for you (or we can meet/chat on the phone). All existing Lulu clients receive a 10% discount off the normal billable rate of $85.00 per hour.

Does the site include Google Analytics?

Google Analytics is included with the Lulu Web Design hosting plan. Website performance reports are available under the retainer program or for an additional fee.

How long can my single website page be?

The maximum length of the page is approx. 2 microsoft word pages.

What should my single page site include?

We recommend the following sections for your one-page site:

1. Short, precise, bold statement that clearly describes what it is you are offering
2. A Call-to-Action button (what do you want the website visitor to do?)
3. Description about your services or products
4. A paragraph about you
5. Contact information

How do we communicate with each other?

After an initial telephone conversation, all communication is done via email.

Do I need to sign a contract?

No contract is required for the Website-on-a Budget.

Will I rank on page 1 of the search engines?

How you rank depends a lot on how competitive your business is. In addition, it often takes about 9 months for Google to trust your new site enough to start ranking well. I recommend to all clients that we follow Google’s best practices for on-page SEO and then see where the website ranks after 6 months, taking appropriate action after that. Typically, you will need more pages and possibly a blog to get ahead of  your competitors, but not always. Don’t blindly throw dollars at SEO until you know where you stand first.

Do you outsource your work?

All web design work and SEO is done solely by me, Lulu. Depending on how busy I am and what the project is like, I sometimes rely on a local copy-writer and graphic artist if necessary. I have also teamed up with a social media guru to create packages (to be released soon) that include  social media management. Please enquire if interested.

How do I update my site?

Website-on-a-budget clients are provided the ability to update their own websites very easily using in-browser editing. All you need is an internet connection!

Is the site responsive/mobile friendly?

Yes! Your website is responsive and looks good on all devices.

Is this a parallax design?

Parallax scrolling involves a large background image moving at a slower rate than the foreground.  This functionality requires extra time and advanced coding and so is not included in the budget website.
